Team Teagan

Our Daughter, Teagan Jean, a very active toddler born with Down Syndrome, was diagnosed on February 21st, 2007, at 20 Months old, with a very aggressive form of Leukemia (AML). She was immediately hospitalized at the Childrens Hospital at Albany Medical Center to begin her lengthy Chemotherapie treatments.
Below is a history of the periodic updates we have sent to our friends and family, now better known as "Team Teagan". We invite you to read them, so you too can understand why so many people who have come to know her, have decided to join "Team Teagan" and our fight to cure her.

Team Teagan Update | 7-29
Hello Team Teagan,

"Tangles", This week is almost over, and the end can't come soon enough. These poisonous chemicals pumped into our child, which we know are necessary, are slowly getting the best of her (not to mention us). Besides fighting to keep the numerous plastic tubes which tether Teagan to her life pole, from getting wrapped around her legs, arms and any of the pieces of furniture, we struggle to keep her calm and out of pain from the roaring rash of all rashes on her bottom. Because she is receiving her treatments continuously along with a constant drip of other unknown fluids, each time she has a bowel movement, she screams with her eyes begging for help. The Chemo has caused her skin on her bottom to become so raw and red, our heart aches each time we have to change her knowing what it will entail.
