Team Teagan Update | 4-10
Hello Team Teagan, Here it is Tuesday! And we're still home... Yeaha!!! Teagan's blood counts are dropping, but she's holding strong... actually I think she's the only one who doesn't know she has cancer... there's no slowing her down yet... She's just a little fireball around the house, but we are truly enjoying that. If she makes it until Thursday without a fever, she has a blood transfusion scheduled at clinic, and she'll most likely catch something while there... all those sick people I guess!

We had a GREAT easter dinner, thanks to the Camoine family. Lisa called Holly asking if she could bring us some Easter Food, we certainly were not expecting Lisa and her sister to walk in with a complete meal which included a spiral cut ham, potatoes and a great dessert... which I would like the recipe for, because that was awesome... Thanks again Lisa and all those who helped her.

OK, if you get the paper today (Times Union), look in the "Capital Region" section and you'll see a nice article the TU did about the benefit breakfast at St. Paul's Church this Sunday. I'll try and attend with the boys, because Teagan most likely won't be home at that point (sad face)... But you never know, she's proving the doctors wrong about the hairloss, she still has all her hair (much to Holly's joy), even thought Dr. Pierce, said she'd loose it this round... Guess they don't know how much of a fighter Teagan is, right down to the hair.

Our visitor list to the website is still growing, each day we get 4-5 new "Team Tegan" member sign-ups... Maybe this will turn into some kind of movement to help families who also deal with the same kind of situation... a kind of "help-registry" website maybe, or a drive to get the parents and kids internet access while at Albany Med or other medical facility... I'm thinking of one of our new friends at AMC, who's 11 year old daughter came to AMC in early February, (Yes!, February, that's not a typo!), for her LAST chemo treatment for AML Leukemia. She's still there! Has not left yet, due to a series of problems with her immune system. I can only imagine how she and her mother could benefit mentally if they could stay in touch with friends and family or school using a laptop and internet access... Such a simple thing could make life just a little bit easier... (thanks to our friend Ava, we're able to - Thanks Ava!)

I'm drafting my letter to Dell and Verizon today, or maybe some other large corporation who may get behind my new cause and donate 2-3 laptops and with Verizon Broadband cards... I'd figure out a way to get them to the families to use while at AMC. Would'nt that be a Tax write-off for them anyway? OK, enought... I need to get some of my rapidly pilling up work done while I'm in the office.

We hope you all have a great spring break and continue to thank all of you for your support..

Take care,
Juergen, Holly and Kids.
