Team Teagan Update | 4-13
Hello Team Teagan,

This morning I was awakened at 6:15am by this tiny little child climbing onto me and giving me a kiss on the cheek, followed up by a big smile and my favorite words "Dah Dah"... Seems we've managed to make it through a complete week without Teagan getting an infection or some other ailment. She went to AMC yesterday for a blood transfusion to raise her rapidly dwindling counts. At this point it's just a matter of when she's get her 100.4 fever and we make our trek to AMC... but we’ll take every hour, day or in this case week we can muster.

Holly sent me a very inspirational web link this morning which I’d like to share with you, it gave me chills and encouragement as I think it will do the same to many of you also…

It’s the little things in life that give us purpose. My family helps me define mine each day… Tonight I’m taking my boys out someplace of their choosing, so, if they can agree on either a Movie or Jeepers, I’ll go (with earplugs in hand) and reward my boys who have both been great kids over the last 8 weeks, and somehow managed not get overly stressed as we shuffle them from friend to friend, or leave them in the hands of a babysitter… They could easily have picked Disney World for their reward, but have enough of an understanding of what’s going on to settle for Jeepers…

Teagan, who somehow has managed to still keep ALL her hair, is doing great. She is active as always, manages to discover new things.. Like that she can now pull herself onto the toy box in our family room and get to the light switches… Somehow we’ll keep her from knowing she has cancer and let her be a normal 2-year old (almost) for now..

It will be a great accomplishment for us to celebrate her 2nd birthday.. We plan on having a nice party for her at a great new place in Glens Falls being built by Patti and Candy (who up until recently worked for me) called TREEPAAD (plug), which will hopefully open soon… www.treepaad.com... I have a feeling she’ll have a ton of people attend, as her circle of friends has grown to huge numbers…

This Sunday will be the benefit breakfast at our church, and we’ve heard from so many people that they plan to attend. I plan on taking the boys as they too want to go…

More news as it happens, and thanks again to all for your thoughts and prayers as this “power of positive thinking” is keeping her strong and active to fight this cancer… and when you see her, ask her what we’re gonna do to the cancer and she’ll be happy to show you her new sign for “Fight! Fight! Fight!” She’s awesome, who knew??

Take Care,

Juergen, Holly and Kids
Go Team Teagan!!!
