“Close Call”. She’s still home… 3 weeks and 2 days now… We’ve had a few close calls with the temp, but Teagan managed to hang-on. At today’s visit to Club AMC, her counts were up, the temperature was down as Teagan ruled the waiting room… This was my first experience at “Clinic”, but Teagan actually knew what to do and helped poor old dad get through it… so cheat sheet in hand, instructions for what to ask (from Holly) we made it back home in one piece. Dr. Porter (one of her team of Doctors) agreed to hold off and let Teagan attend her benefit at TreePaad this weekend and be admitted that night. She’ll start her next (4th) round of chemo early Sunday morning...

As we prepare to attend the “Teagan Benefit” at the TreePaad Family Center in Glens Falls, we checked in with Patti and Candy (at TreePaad), who managed to open their new facility last Sunday. Congratulations to them! It’s sure to bring smiles and joy to the faces of countless children, which in turn will bring a smile to ours. Tyler and Tanner ask every day if we can go back to TreePaad, and they only saw it during the construction phase.. Can’t imagine how they will bug us after they see it this weekend.

So, I’d like see if we can get the “Team Teagan” mobilized to get some of the food, snacks and/or drinks donated for the event… My parents (The Grill at the Ramada) have offered to donate some of the finger foods, but we need to arrange a few cases of soda and water, some cookies for snacks and maybe get a local pizzeria to donate some pies. So, if anyone has a contact or “connection” with a local grocery store (Price Chopper or Hannaford), Stewart’s, Fitzgerald’s Distributing, SYSCO, BJ’s or other potential store, maybe you could ask them if they would be interested in donating some food or drink to our “Team Teagan Benefit”.
