Hello Team Teagan,
"Lost Time", it seems since Holly and Teagan have been home this past Tuesday, Teagan has been busy making up for lost time... And let me tell you, she's a mover and shaker, She does not stop moving. Especially now since we've had to forgo the baby gate between the living room and kitchen, as she can now scale that with ease, along with climb into the highchair, move chairs so she can reach the counters, and almost open doors. Just like any typical toddler! Seems there's not much hope for any rest for us.
The "Chemo" burn on her bottom is healing nicely, and at clinic today Holly was told that her ANC's are still fairly high, which will hopefully allow her to remain strong and out of Club AMC until her next (and last) round.
Almost seems that we an see the end of the tunnel, but we'll stay timidly hopeful and optimistic for now. After her final round, she'll visit clinic at least once a month to monitor her blood levels and do transfusions if needed.
The boys are happy to have them home too, probably mostly because of my stress related mood swings... Not much hope for that to subside anytime soon either. Unless someone decides to slip me some "happy" pills, or I take up sampling the liquor cabinet each night. But seriously, having Holly and Teagan home sure takes a lot of the pressure off everything and I can go back to dealing with all those other fun life challenges.
I'd like to give a special "shout-out thank you" to the Knotek family who came over this week and mowed my overgrown lawn and pulled the weeds which had seriously overtaken our mulch beds... I just could not get my schedule or weather to cooperate in the last few weeks...
Well, that's it for today, thanks to you all for your continued prayers and support. And please remember Teagan's buddy Christopher who is still struggling and fighting hard at Boston's Children Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are always with Trish, Paul and Payton as well as the rest of the Club AMC members.
Be Well,
Juergen Holly and Kids |
